"The generosity of donors
over the past 20 years has enabled Land Stewardship Project to become
an increasingly recognized voice on behalf of farmland and the stewards
who work and protect it. Yet, over that time, the challenges facing farmers
and the food system have only grown. With the strong support of donors
who care about the food they eat and where it comes from, LSP will move
forward as it has for the past two decades learning from those closest
to the land and leading with solutions that benefit the land and everyone
who depends upon it."

Workplace Giving
The Land Stewardship Project is a proud member of the Minnesota
Environmental Fund, which is a coalition of 18 environmental organizations
in Minnesota that offer workplace giving as an option in making our communities
better places to live. Together member organizations of the Minnesota
Environmental Fund work to
• promote the sustainability of our
rural communities and family farms;
• protect Minnesotans from health hazards;
• educate citizens and our youth on
conservation efforts;
• preserve wilderness areas, parks,
wetlands and wildlife habitat.
You can support LSP in your workplace by giving through the Minnesota
Environmental Fund. Options include giving a designated amount through
payroll deduction, or a single gift. You may also choose to give to the
entire coalition or specify the organization of your choice within the
coalition, such as the Land Stewardship Project. If your employer does
not provide this opportunity, ask the person in charge of workplace giving
to include it. For more information, call 651-653-0618 or e-mail lspwbl@landstewardshipproject.org.

Bequest
Ask your lawyer about giving a gift to the Land Stewardship Project through
your will. You may give a pre-determined amount or give a residuary bequest
that is honored after all other bequests have been made and all debts,
expenses and taxes have been paid. It is also possible to give a bequest
based upon a contingency clause which allows you to first take care of
your family and friends with the option to give to a charity if they do
not survive you.
