Sustainable Garden Tour & Supper June 3 Near Winona

WINONA, Minn.
—Learn about the connections between gardening, farming, human health and environmental sustainability during the Land Stewardship Project’s second annual garden tour and supper, Saturday, June 3, at the Barb and Martin Nelson home in rural Winona. The tour will begin at 4 p.m., and the charge is $15 for Land Stewardship Project members, and $20 for non-members. Space is limited to 20 participants; RSVP by calling 507-523-3366.

Participants in the tour will get a firsthand look at one of the most beautiful gardens in the area while learning about container gardening and sustainable landscape design. They will also get an opportunity to participate in a discussion about the connections between food production, health and the local community.

A meal of grilled organic local chicken, potatoes, wild parsnips, asparagus and dessert will be served.
