‘Benefit Shopping Night’ for LSP at Ten Thousand Villages & Chipotle Nov. 28

SAINT PAUL, Minn.–Supporters of a family farm-based sustainable food system will have an opportunity to eat a burrito and buy holiday gifts while supporting the Land Stewardship Project (LSP) on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Victoria Crossing West, 867 Grand Ave., in Saint Paul.
Ten Thousand Villages (www.tenthousandvillages.com), a fair trade store with handmade artisan crafts from around the world, has chosen LSP for its “Benefit Shopping Night” from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Ten Thousand Villages, which is located at Victoria Crossing, will donate 20 percent of the evening’s sales to support LSP’s work for land stewardship, family farms, healthy food, local communities and the environment.
That same evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Chipotle Mexican Grill (www.chipotle.com), which is also at Victoria Crossing, will be donating 100 percent of its sales to LSP. Chipotle serves dishes that feature seasonal, family-farmed, sustainable foods. It serves more sustainably-raised meats than any other restaurant in the country. Included among its offerings is Niman Ranch pork (www.nimanranch.com), which many LSP members raise on their farms. Chipotle also offers vegetarian and vegan meals.
