ALTURA, Minn. — A meeting on "Natural Animal Nutrition and Health" will be Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Altura Community Center/Fire Station. The fee is $10 (which covers lunch) for Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota members, and $20 for nonmembers. To register, contact Edgar Hansgen at 507-932-4219 or ejhansgen@hotmail.com.
The meeting will feature Paul Dettloff, a veterinarian from Arcadia, Wis., and a nationally-known speaker on natural livestock care. His presentation will cover animal nutrition and health, especially natural health alternatives. This meeting should be of interest to those with any class of livestock.
This meeting is being presented by the Southeast Chapter of the Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota, and is co-sponsored by the Land Stewardship Project, the Minnesota Dairy Initiative and the Elba Co-op Creamery.
