MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — The Land Stewardship Project (LSP) will hold its 8th annual Twin Cities-area open house, cookout and silent auction event Thursday, July 30, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in the back yard of its office in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood of Minneapolis (821 E. 35th St.). For the meal, which will be served at 6:30 p.m., LSP will provide brats, burgers and a vegetarian entrée produced by LSP member-farmers. Also provided will be cold beverages and tableware. LSP members and friends who attend are asked to bring a side dish to share and a lawn chair.

Prior to the meal, there will be a short program at 6 p.m. on LSP’s recent work. A silent auction of items donated by LSP members and supporters will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. If you have an item you would like to donate to the auction, contact Liesch.

Founded in 1982, LSP (www.landstewardshipproject.org) is a membership-based grassroots organization dedicated to sustainable agriculture, family farming, social justice and sustainable food systems. Besides South Minneapolis, LSP has offices in the Minnesota communities of Lewiston and Montevideo.
