Land Stewardship Project Data Privacy Policy

This Website is owned and operated by the Land Stewardship Project (LSP). We understand that visitors to our site may be concerned about the information they provide to us, and how we treat that information. This Privacy Policy addresses those concerns.

Our Policy
Your right to privacy is very important to us. The Land Stewardship Project does not track any information about our visitors except that which you might give us intentionally through an E-mail or by making a donation through our secure donation service. We recognize that providing us with personal information is an act of trust. Our privacy policy is meant to protect your personal information. If you would like your membership/or donation to remain anonymous, please inform us. LSP never sells or rents its mailing list to other organizations. LSP may on occasion exchange its member mailings lists with other like-minded nonprofit organizations. LSP is one of several environmental organizations in Minnesota collaborating on the Minnesota Environmental Action Network — an e-mail action alert system. As a collaborating organization, LSP provides Minnesota member e-mail addresses to the network so that members can receive action alerts about urgent environmental issues.

Security of on-line donations and other Internet transactions
To ensure the safety and security of on-line donations to LSP, we have contracted with an encrypted donation service that has an excellent level of security and many years of experience in providing secure online transactions.

Additional Details of Privacy Policy
1. LSP never sells or rents its mailing list to other organizations. To reduce the cost of acquiring new members, LSP may exchange member lists with other like-minded nonprofit organizations, generally 1 or 2 times per year or less. These exchanges are typically for a one-time mailing only.

2. We value your willingness to be a member and donate to LSP. On occasion, we may honor our members by publishing their names in an LSP publication.

3. The e-mail addresses are kept in a secure server and are contacted no more than 12 times per year with environmental action alerts. With every e-mail action alert, participants are given the chance to opt out of the alert system.

4. If you have any questions or concerns about our Privacy Policy, or if you would prefer that we do not exchange your name or share your e-mail with the Minnesota Environmental Action Network, or if you would like your donation to remain anonymous, please notify LSP at: Land Stewardship Project 2200 Fourth Street White Bear Lake, MN 55110, (651) 653-0618 or email us at aliesch@landstewardshipproject.org.
