Close to the Ground
This video describes the Monitoring Project, a joint, groundbreaking initiative of the Land Stewardship Project and the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture. This video shows how six farm families worked with scientists, economists, sociologists and government agency staffers to develop user-friendly indicators of sustainability on farmland. It also features outstanding footage of birdlife and livestock production coexisting on some of Minnesota’s most ruggedly beautiful farmland. 1997 - 24 minutes. Available in VHS only. $15.00

Voices of Minnesota Farm Women
This film, presented by Land Stewardship Project and produced and directed by Cynthia Vagnetti, is based on oral history interviews of 10 contemporary farm women involved in sustainable agriculture and local food systems. The women describe the personal satisfaction they derive from earning a living raising food, and the benefits this way of life provides for families and communities. 2005 - 30 minutes.
